I’ll give it a 3 simply because of the sizing, it says large = 7-8 years but it is huge on my 7 year old who usually wears clothes in size 8 years. I know she’s skinny but its still way too big for 7-8 I would say unless you have (not to be mean but for want of the right word) a chubbier child.Overall though the fabric is good quality, better than I was expecting for the price, the Griffindor badge looks a bit dodgy to me and its doesnt do up too great. But I brought this for my daughter to be to school in on World Book Day so it’ll do the job even if it drowns her.

I wore this costume for my 21st birthday party – I’m 5ft 6 and while the Large cloak didn’t reach all the way to the ground it still looked great. Good quality, comfortable and affordable. It’s a shame that there’s no tie included – you’ll have to buy your own, and of course the uniform beneath it will need to be purchased separately too. There’s also no wand, so with all of those accessories added in it can become quite a pricey costume.

Ordered on 24th September, it arrived on 25th! I struggled with the sizing guide and opted for ‘Large’. After opening the package I’m relieved that it should fit my tall 10 year old adequately enough. Perhaps shorter than on the model, but I think we’ll get away with it. My robe did have a Gryffindor badge on it, but no wand pocket as another review mentioned. I don’t see this as an issue. The material is flimsy and the sewing isn’t great, with wispy seams. However, considering this is a Harry Potter costume and carries the inevitable levy against such merchandise I’m happy. It’s fit for purpose. One thing I will add, as the description didn’t make it completely clear, only alluding to it with suggested add ons. This is just the robe. There is no shirt or tie. I opted to order a tie separately and I’m glad that I did. All in all, a great, fast service.

Very thin and flimsy. The catch was even more flimsy and broke after about 10 minutes-I managed to put it back together and it worked as a catch to hold the two sides together at the front. It doesn’t hold the two sides together as the illustration shows but it does the job as a dress-up robe. My 14 year old still liked it, so all good-hence the 4 stars. Quite expensive for quality of material.
B, Scunthorpe –
The clip on fastener too heavy for the fabric and not easy to fasten by children, therefore not suitable for job intended so needed to make own fastening (stitching a loop and adding a button). Hood stitching to main part of gown not finished off properly and needed repairing before it all unravelled. As this was a Christmas gift for my grandaughter felt I needed to do these repairs as she was so excited to receive the robe and enabled her to enjoy her gift. Wig and wand complemented the outfit.

It looks ok but the material is thin and the costume not very well sewn. I know it is not expensive but still could be nicer for the price. My 8 year old was happy with it but don’t expect too much. The clip isn’t attached at all, so easy to loose.

Bought for world book day, she’ll probably never wear it again. Same every year.What i will tell you is the sizing.She’s 8. She is 4 and a half foot and really skinny. Based on other reviews she the size guide, i picked aged 5 to 7. It was plenty big enough, so iwould advise don’t size up. I bet she could wear this for another 4 years easily

Bought for World Book Day it was fine. Decent logo. Decent clasp. Material is quite light but daughter very happy as it swishes well! She likes the hood. No problems.
