Brought this item for my 5 year old son for Christmas who is a huge Harry Potter fan. I was quite worried before its arrival of what the bristles on the broom would be like, I was expecting them to be very flimsy and be on the carpet after use.Although it is three more days to go till Christmas I know my son will be extremely made up with this present off Santa and the bristles are plastic and very soft so no need for worries about it easily breaking or bristles on the carpet. i.e. The hoover will not need to make an appearance.I would also like to add if their are younger children in the family I would be personally fine with their brother/sister playing around them on this toy as their are no small parts that will fall off although supervision would be a good idea when a child is pretending to fly around the living room as don’t want no bumps

Ok, so for a HP product it’s one of the cheaper options but I have to say I was disappointed with it when it arrived. It looks very cheap and ‘plasticky’. From the picture I was expecting it to look more like wood and to be constructed of a resin like material but it’s just a hard hollow plastic. I had also thought the broom brush itself would be more like actual bristles in texture but they’re actually semi flexible plastic and just add to the overall cheap feel of the broom. Just to note as well, I hadn’t picked up on it when I bought it but this is a Nibus 2000 design and not the Firebolt. It may not matter to your child but could to some hardened fans. My daughter still likes it and plays with it but I think she was less impressed than I was expecting her to be but then so was I.

Bought as a present, for a child. Looks ok but child will not get it until the end of the month

Bought for my granddaughter, overall very good quality and well received. One of the stirrups doesn’t conform, appearing to be bent backwards. The stirrups are a flexible material. She isn’t bothered by it at all and is delighted with it.
