The Sound of Mu(sic) –
As a plump balding middle-aged man, I’ve wanted to dress up convincingly as Princess Leia for some time now. My bikini-wearing days are somewhat behind me (I look more like a cross-dressing Jabba the Hutt than Leia in that sort of get-up, to be honest).I’m pleased to say that, even with my flabby overhang, this is a convincing costume. Admittedly, the belt had to be extended to accommodate my sagging girth using an old Raleigh Burner inner tube, but this is a small price to pay for looking this good.As other reviewers have mentioned, the wig is far too small – however, I had the foresight to order two costumes, and simply stuck the two wigs together using brown tape. Hey presto! Problem solved! Overall, can’t recommend enough. Only marking down one star due to the material generating a little too much static against my rather hirsute belly. Other than that, a great costume. Every man should own one.

Everyone loved it! I received many compliments and it looked and felt amazing. Great fit :)The wig is too small but l already knew that based on somebody elses review (look through comments) and l fixed my hair on my own. The belt was also looking good and closes with velcro and that makes it easier to adjust how tight you want it to be.

I wasn’t expecting much, fancy dress is never good value for money, but it’s difficult to find this outfit at a good price. I also stupidly didn’t look at the sizing and bought small, but should have got medium as although the outfit fitted the belt didn’t. All that aside, the outfit is see through as it’s so flimsy, and I had to do the side buns myself as the wig wouldn’t fit my head and cover my hair, so I basically paid 50 pounds for a see through shapeless dress – the hood part looks good though.

This is worth the money for sure!!! The fabric is soft and has a faint shimmer to it, which doesn’t look tacky in the slightest. The outfit looks almost exactly like Leia’s in a New Hope. The hood looks fantastic as well, and the belt looks great and the velcro on the neck and the belt is pretty handy.I only have a few complaints. One, the dress/robe is a little short? I’m 5’6” and ordered a Large so it would look more loose, which it did, but it only hit my ankles when it should be a little longer. Another complaint I have is with the wig. It fit my head decently enough, but there were chunks of short hair and the buns looked nothing like Leia’s. It’s also glued in place so don’t do what I did and try to take them out. The wig… well it looks awful now, but that’s my fault. I’m going to try and salvage it though lol. Would definitely recommend this product for a convention or any other occasion though! I’d also recommend going a size up from your regular clothing size (i.e. I’m a medium 10-12 so I went for a large which is 14-16).

For that money I expected much higher quality.. and Im totally disappointed. Size Large is to small for UK14-16 (not enough extra room), it is too short for 172cm height person, the wig is really small and the stitches are bad quality. It is no worth more than typical cheep fancy dress.

The dress is completely see through, the belt is damaged and bits chipped off it, and the wig would barely fit my dogs head let alone mine. Really disappointed in the quality.

Was really pleased with this costume . Yes it is on the thin side, but looked good with white clothes underneath. In terms of fit – I chose a large I am 5’3” and a size 14/16. The length was good. The belt just about fitted – diet starts on Monday.
