The costume is what I thought it would be – material isn’t fantastic however it’s for playing in & not hiking up a mountain! My boy got it along with a light saber & has excellent fun – only thing to note is the sizing – he is a tall six however you can only get 5-6 which is small or 7-8 which is huge – let’s just say, he’s growing into his!

I felt the attention to detail could be a bit better. There is a sash at the back to pull the costume in but it is in white fabric so the printed-on ‘belt’ design is only on the front. A brown sash would have completed the ‘belt’ look all the way round. The ‘boot’ covers are also small and won’t fit over my son’s feet – they could do with being made larger and then can be cut down for smaller feet. I might have to cut the feet off altogether though and I’m going to try and find a leather belt to put over the top which will look better.I’m sure my 4 year old will be thrilled anyway!

Great fancy dress outfit – We bought it for world book day and it has been worn lots of time since. I hand wash it and most marks come out. It is only a thin material, so it is usually work over clothes ( unless at a party and they are running around).

I purchased this outfit for my nine year old – who is noticeably larger than his cousin, who has just turned ten – and the size 8-10 years was ridiculously big on him. We sent it back and re-ordered the Medium 5-7 Year Old size, which was a good fit. As a product it’s very much in line with the (admittedly low) expectations that I have from purchasing kids dress up outfits in the past. It’s a thin, 100% Polyester outfit, which is crudely cut around the edge of the tunic without any seam. To be fair it wasn’t quite as itchy-scratchy as some we’ve had in the past. The outfit consists of a single piece tunic and a pair of trousers with built in trompe-l’œil boots (they’re just a detailing on the trousers, your child still needs to wear shoes). For fifteen pounds, it is what it is. It’ll get you out of a jam on World Book Day, and my son thought it was amazing.

After reading all the reviews I wasn’t expecting it to be great but I was pleasantly surprised. My son is 9 so ordered the medium which fit perfect it was well made my son was very pleased with it. Also delivered a day earlier. So after reading all the bad reviews I wouldn’t take any notice as I was very pleased with it.

It’s a lot thinner material than I thought it would be and I bought a separate robe to make the costume look more authentic
