   my son was so happy with this so this made me happy, some have mentioned about material being to thin all I can say is I wouldnt of expected anymore from a fancy dress costume so I found no problems with it, but as its winter and cold I did make my son wear an inner and shorts under and made him wear black football socks with it to keep that bit warmer. over all pleased.

   My 5 year old son had the part of King Charles in his class assembly about the Fire of London. He was initially upset by this as he thought the King looked “too girly” in the pictures he’d seen, and said he didn’t want the part! I came across this one when searching for a costume. When it arrived, he reluctantly tried it on, and slowly a little smile appeared! He loved the colour, and especially loved the crown, which has a “real gem” on it! I teamed it up with some long white socks (as there was no way he’d wear tights!), and he looked great! He was disappointed that it didn’t come with the sceptre, but otherwise very happy.I went for the medium size (6-9 years), and it was a good fit. My son is a big age 5, probably about 120cm tall.He’s going to wear it again for the school nativity as a wise man, but switching the trousers for some of his own dark red ones… I can get away with that, right??! 😳

   I bought the costume for my 8 yr old son for a school Tudor day! He loved it even wears to play in. I have given it 4 instead 5 stars as its quite thin material and the fastening for the cape is already coming off (nothing that can’t be fixed with needle and thread)

   with out much notice my son had to have a king costume for school, order arrived before date and was as advertised. He looked good in it and it served the purpose, fitted fine as my son is slight for his age, 13yrs, but not generous with material. A good price.

   Just my opinion – April 12, 2018

   Not the best quality but for the price it was fine. Only worn for one day at school, he probably won’t wear it again. Only criticism was the belt needed more Velcro, as it hung off my skinny 7 year old but most things do to be fair!

   Really good costume incl hat and belt. Age 5-7yrs was good (even generous fit) on my average/skinny 7 yr old boy. He wore it all day – no complaints – comfortable with just a t-shirt underneath. Survived the day (no doubt school playground/football etc with no rips/tears too! Hat a little big -slipped over his eyes in all photos!! Great purchase at good price too!

   Item arrived on time however, the velcro on the top was not sewn properly. Sadly due to requiring it immediately I was unable to return it. Quality is ok but a bit on the flimsy side. Will do for World Book Day. Would’ve given it a higher rating if it was but damaged.

   The outfit is fine in itself however the packaging was very beaten up, cardboard picture torn and costume covered in straw. It has clearly been returned previously. Unfortunately no time to exchange for a new one as needed for coronation parade at school.
